Dec. 17 - Longest Night Service of Remembrance from 7 – 8 p.m. at the High River United Church, 123 MacLeod Trail S.W. On one of the longest nights of the year, we pause to mark the changing of the seasons and to remember loved ones who have passed away, this year or in past years. Dec. 21 - Riverwind Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. at the High River United Church. A cappella group Riverwind presents its annual Christmas Concert – tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the library or at Schmidty's barber shop.

Dec. 24 - The Salvation Army Foothills Church Christmas Eve service at 6:30pm. (117 2nd Ave).

Dec. 24 - Family Christmas Eve Service at 5 p.m. at the High River United Church, 123 MacLeod Trail S.W. This 45 minute service is planned with young children in mind. We'll sing carols and tell the Christmas story. For information contact Susan Lukey at 403-652-3168. Read more>>

Dec. 24 - Candlelight & Choir Christmas Eve Service from 7 - 8 p.m. at the High River United Church, 123 MacLeod Trail S.W. This service features our High River United Church adult choir. It will include carol singing and the reading of the Christmas story. This is a candle-light service and will include the singing of "Silent Night." For information Susan Lukey 403-652-3168. Dec. 24 - Candlelight Christmas Eve Service from 9 - 10 p.m. at High River United Church 123 MacLeod Trail S.W. This is a quiet, reflective service in which we sing Christmas carols and hear the reading of the Christmas story. The service ends in candlelight with the singing of "Silent Night." Dec. 31 – New Year’s Eve at the Museum - Choose between $100 for a prime rib dinner at the Whistlestop dining car, live music with Jocelyn and Lisa and desserts, champagne and the countdown with Darrel Janz and Jody Seeley – OR - $50 for a special showing of “The Hobbit – The Battle of the Five Armies” at the beautiful Wales Theatre followed by live music with Jocelyn and Lisa and desserts, champagne and the countdown with Darrel Janz and Jody Seeley.
